Ben Wilkinson

Ben grew up on a Kentish arable farm, gaining a practical experience of agriculture in his youth.
With a 2.1 hons degree in Agriculture from Reading University, he joined Chavereys in 1999, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2002.

Ben was made associate in 2005, became partner in 2011, and transferred to an equity director in 2022 when the business was incorporated.

Ben manages the affairs of numerous farming families, typically comprising several individuals, corporate and non-corporate entities and one or more a discretionary trusts; his client base also includes fruit producer organisations, a grain storage cooperative and the audit of a public interest assurance company.

Ben advises clients both on their day-to-day business and tax affairs and also on more finely focused, ad hoc matters including: business restructuring, family succession planning, property development agreements and estate planning.

Ben is a registered ‘Responsible Individual’ for Audit purposes and is a committee member of the Kent Institute of Agricultural Management.
